This post has long been delayed. I was supposed to post this before "A Client's Wisdom" however, I got distracted. I wallowed in my sorrow and anxiety before God spoke to me earlier this day through our pastor's wife's sermon. Despite our fleeting feelings, we must remain focus on our purpose and to not delay on the mission God gave us. He needs us to spread the Good News because time is ticking and precious lives are at stake.
During the past 2 weeks, I have experienced great setbacks in my life. The pain is unbearable. The future is bleak. And sometimes, I just wish to be dead so as to relief myself of the hardships of the world. But then, God has a purpose in our lives. We don't play God, claiming our life as our own because it is not.
I have found comfort on the epistles. I just love the personal factors of these letters and somehow, when I read them, I imagine they were written for me. God, through these verses, have renewed my strength and energy. He has given me assurance that things will be okay in the end and to not waste my energy on worrying.
That we should endure hardship as discipline.
That every struggle leads to brokenness and in brokenness, God can renew our hearts and make them fruitful.
That trials are part of testing of our faith.
And to never blame God of tempting us.
Moreover, we should always remember that God understands us and sees our pain. Jesus had experienced hardships, rejection and injustice in order to redeem us.
And lastly, that all these difficulties are bearable as Christ gives us His peace, no matter what we are going through. This is the type of joy despite suffering and peace despite grief because we are certain that God sees our situation and His righteousness will reign.
I pray Lord Jesus provision, guidance and wisdom for the people reading this article; that you will give them peace, hope and joy. Lord, open their hearts and speak to them, renew their hearts and make them tender to your voice so that we will be able to submit to your will in our lives and experience real contentment and thankfulness in our hearts that no other thing can give us but you Lord. Listen to our cries, Lord and be merciful to us as you are compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. And help us Lord to face the consequences of our choices with humility. May our prayer be pleasing to you. We pray all of these in Jesus' Name. Thank you Lord Jesus for hearing our petition. Amen.
